AmeriCorps VISTA Manager Position Announcement
Campus Compact is a national coalition of more than 1,000 colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education. We are a network comprising a national office and state and regional Compacts. As the only national higher education association dedicated solely to campus-based civic engagement, Campus Compact enables campuses to develop students’ citizenship skills and forge effective community partnerships. Our resources support faculty and staff as they pursue community-based teaching and scholarship in the service of positive change. Campus Compact for Southern New England (CCSNE) is a new regional Compact consisting of member campuses in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
The Campus Compact for Southern New England (CCSNE) AmeriCorps VISTA Corps is an anti-poverty initiative focused on building the capacity of campuses and their community partners to improve education outcomes for economically disadvantaged PK-20 students. The VISTA Program Manager is one of two program managers responsible for the oversight and support of our regional AmeriCorps VISTA program, reporting to the Program Director. The VISTA Program Manager is part of a highly collaborative team responsible for VISTA national service member recruiting and training; host site development and support; monitoring and reporting; supervision and support of 3-4 VISTA Leaders; and general operations ensuring that all programmatic and financial activities comply with the terms and conditions of the grant award. Each member of the team will oversee a portfolio of host sites and VISTA members in addition to overall program responsibilities.
The CCSNE AmeriCorps VISTA Manager is a full-time (40 hours per week), overtime exempt position. The position will be in Boston, MA through June 30, 2018 and then relocated to central Massachusetts. The position will require regular regional travel which will require a valid driver’s license.
Anticipated salary range is $45,000 – $55,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. This is a grant-supported position subject to renewal based on funding availability and incumbent performance.
