Volunteers Needed for Lund Center Mother’s Day Ride

Seeking Volunteers from Champlain College for  Lund’s Mother’s Day Ride and Walk for Children presented by NorthCountry Federal Credit Union on 5/14/2017

This successful event is in its ninth year and attracts approximately 300 riders, walkers and volunteers.  All funds raised directly support Lund’s adoption, treatment, education and family support programs that provide help to over 4,800 people  each year.   I know Champlain College  has supported Lund’s events in the past, and we are hoping you can support us again this year.

IMG_7842Lund’s programs are needed, now more than ever, as families continue to face the multi-layered ripple effects of the opiate crisis in Vermont, the increased number of children coming into foster care, and other challenges created by multigenerational cycles of poverty. Lund has worked with the most vulnerable families in Vermont for over 125 years identifying the most pressing needs in the community and working innovatively and collaboratively to address them.

We rely on support from foundations, corporations and individuals to ensure that we can continue to provide life changing programs to those who need them most.  The Mother’s Day Ride and Walk for Children is our signature fundraising event for 2017 and presents a variety of sponsorship opportunities, details of which are enclosed. We would be very grateful to add Champlain College’s name to the supporters of this event and I would be happy to answer any questions that you might have.

It would also be super to have a team of folks involved at the event and of course we also need volunteers to help run the day.
