350.org North American Organizing Intern, based in VT

350.org is looking for a motivated intern for the Spring 2016 semester interested in sharpening their organizing skills by helping to support our network of over 100 local grassroots climate action groups.  Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, ability to learn new programs) are required.

The intern will interview local climate group leaders across North America, and then analyze the data and input it into our database to help guide our campaigns. This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge of grassroots organizing and be fully supported and mentored by experienced national staff. A background in climate justice is desired, as well as the interest to learn more about this work, and a passion for the 350.org mission of building a global movement to stop the climate crisis. We are looking for self-starters with creativity, and drive to make things happen while working in close coordination with a national team. These projects can be performed remotely or in our office in Montpelier VT.

To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume and two writing samples to David Stember,David@350.org
