The EPA Environmental Research and Business Support Program is hiring! We currently have four open positions in a variety of environmental disciplines and academic levels:

 

Research Operations Staff Program Assistant – Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Must have bachelor’s degree in environmental policy, science, IT or a related field
  • Serve as Research Operations Staff support, including tasks such as data management, programmatic reporting & Sharepoint Site maintenance and development
  • Full-time position, expected to begin in June/July 2015, with a pay rate of $20.19/hour

 

Software Tools Associate – Athens, Georgia

  • Must have a master’s degree in computer science, environmental science, or a related field, and be familiar with basic statistics and mathematical modeling software
  • Serve as an associate in development and application of software tools to create a modeling system to assess human health risk of toxicants in rivers
  • Full-time position, expected to begin in June 2015, with a pay rate of $26.12/hour

 

Peer Review and Research Support Associate – Washington, D.C.

  • Must have at least two years of college coursework in business administration, computer science, communications, or a related field
  • Serve as administrative support for the National Center for Environmental Research, including tasks such as analyzing budgets, reviewing grant files, assisting with meetings & other duties
  • Full-time position, expected to begin in May 2015, with a pay rate of $18.15/hour

 

Environmental Tool Planning Associate – Corvallis, Oregon

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, environmental sciences, urban planning or a related field, as well as experience with computer programming and web-based server systems
  • Serve as an associate to create and program tools which will aid communities in making sustainable decisions on storm water runoff
  • Part-time position (20 hours/week), expected to begin in June 2015, with a pay rate of $19.45/hour
