Champlain/Burlington Clean Up service day – March 21

As Spring arrives and the snow melts, lots of things start popping up all over Burlington – including heaps of nasty trash and recyclables that didn’t quite make it to where they were supposed to go. Please encourage your students to join the Center for Service and Civic Engagement in cleaning up our city on Saturday, March 21st from 1:30PM – 3:30PM

. Burlington is a beautiful place, so let’s keep it that way and protect Lake Champlain by cleaning up trash before Spring rainstorms carry all of it down to the waterfront. Come join in yourself as well and bring along friends and family. Every pair of hands is appreciated and needed. We will be meeting outside of Skiff Hall on Saturday, March 21st at 1:30PM to form teams and pick zones to clean up. Trash bags and latex gloves will be provided, but we highly encourage you to bring gloves and bags of your own if you have them.

Here is the link to the public Facebook event (anyone with the link can access). We ask that anyone who can RSVP does, though you do not need to RSVP in order to show up the day of.  — https://www.facebook.com/events/1638367579716399/
