Dear friends and colleagues,
Please join me on, Tuesday the 11th at 2pm in the Morgan room in Aiken Hall for a panel conversation entitled Race and the Justice System. Using both the events in Fergusson as well as Burlington, VT, the panel will explore the way that race plays into policing, sentencing and community responses to perceived injustice.
On the panel will be:
Dr. Rashad Shabazz, Assistant Professor of Geography, University of Vermont
Mr. Michael Schirling, Burlington Police Chief
Mr. Jon Kidde, Restorative Justice Expert
Space is limited so show up early for a good spot!
Best,
Julian Portilla
