Screening of Idle-Threat at Champlain College in Burlington, VT. Thursday, February 13th, 7pm in Perry Hall Presentation Room. Free and open to the public. Following the one hour screening, there will be a Q&A session with the filmmaker, George Pakenham, as well as representatives from Idle-Free Vermont and the City of Burlington to discuss current, local anti-idling efforts. About the film: Since 1971, the City of New York has had laws restricting curbside engine idling. One man, determined to reduce air pollution in his neighborhood and combat global climate change, confronted the city’s lax enforcement efforts. This film chronicles the challenges and triumphs of his campaign.
