Climate Education legislation to be introduced by Sen. Markey (MA)

Later this month, Sen. Ed Markey (MA) will be introducing vital legislation to create a new climate education program at NOAA. We need your help today and early next to make direct appeals to all 99 other Senators to cosponsor this bill prior to its introduction.

We’ll need you to make this request directly to your Senators or their staff, and recruit one or more of the most influential individuals or groups in your state to also make contact by phone, email, or in person next Monday or Tuesday (June 6 & 7). The deadline for your Senators to contact Sen. Markey’s office to cosponsor is COB next Friday, June 9th.

The background materials and further instructions you need can be accessed in the following links:

Bill Text (House version, same as the Senate draft)

Senate Vote on S. Amendment 2176 (Senators on this list have demonstrated support for Climate education in the past)

Thank you in advance for your help!
