Campus Speaker Emiliano Void, nuwave Equity Corporation on “The Ethics of Entrepreneurship” April 13 2 pm – 3 pm

Stiller School of Business and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship are excited to welcome Emiliano Void, Founder and CEO of nuwave Equity Corporation to speak on “The Ethics of Entrepreneurship.” Originally from Montreal, Emiliano has lived in the US for the past 11 years and was driven by the highly publicized racial injustices faced by Black people to become directly involved in equity work.  He joined community groups, started community-based initiatives, led a Black focused employee resource group in his workplace as well as an industry wide initiative to dismantle systemic racism.  Through nuwave Emiliano aspires to drive real, actionable, and sustainable change that creates more opportunities for Black and systemically excluded people, brings awareness and conversation to a problem that is long overdue for a solution, and helps organizations understand the profitability in equity.  His campus talk will focus on how to balance the “move fast and break things” culture of innovation with a careful consideration of systemic implications.

Kylie King, Assistant Professor of Business & Entrepreneurship and Academic Director, Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, will moderate.  Please reach out to Kylie (kking@champlain.edu) with questions.

All students and Champlain employees are welcome. Please join us on Wednesday, April 13, 2pm – 3 pm either in person in the Ireland first floor lobby or remotely on zoom. See “The View” for zoom details.
