Campuses for Environmental Stewardship 2021 Summit
Rising to the Challenge: Higher Education’s Role & Responsibility for Solving Climate Change & Other Critical Issues
Wednesday, May 19th || 12:00-3:30 PM
This virtual summit will bring together faculty and campus leadership in the discussion of how campuses can play a leadership role in prioritizing and solving critical issues like climate action and food insecurity. Together, conference participants will consider ways to recognize and reward the importance of community-engaged teaching/learning, design action plans, and strategize how to institutionalize these efforts. This summit will also serve as a vehicle for cross-state and regional collaboration, networking, and resource sharing.
We are excited to kick the day off with a discussion led by Dr. Timothy Eatman “How Higher Education can Lead in Solving Critical Issues and Support Faculty at the Forefront”. Followed by two concurrent workshop sessions.
We are currently seeking presenters for these breakout sessions and warmly encourage CES faculty (former and current) to submit a proposal as CES participants will be given session priority and this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your projects to a regional and national audience. IF you are interested in presenting, please send us a quick email ASAP expressing intent to submit so we can earmark your session, in addition to filling out the RFP by Weds, April 21st.
We will forward a more formal save-the-date with registration information in the coming week, but wanted to make sure you all were the first in the know.
