Dismas Speakers Series

In partnership with people leading the way in Vermont, we’re inviting our community to the conversation about our criminal justice system through the lens of #restorativejustice. In the coming months, we’ll explore our topic from varied perspectives, culminating with an event featuring Sr. Helen Prejean, author, activist, and founder of the Ministry Against the Death Penalty. Our full schedule can be found below.

Professor Robert Sand, founding Director of the Center for Justice Reform, kicks off the series with an overview of Restorative Justice and efforts at criminal justice reform. To understand the present and the future, we also need to understand the past. We’ll ask the questions: how has the criminal justice system treated the people who interact with it, what are we doing to improve it, and what are our aspirations moving forward?

To join us for the event on FRIDAY, JANUARY 29TH @ 12PM, please follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BTTQK77
