John Lewis: Good Trouble Outdoor Screening

Like any non-profit, we aim to be a public service and to offer events that, while not income-generating, nonetheless are part of what we are here to do. In partnership with Burlington City Arts, we are presenting an outdoor screening of John Lewis: Good Trouble as a timely (and timeless) film about an exceptional man. We’re also grateful to Zoraya Hightower, Burlington City Councilor and to Congressman Peter Welch for agreeing to make time in their busy schedule to say a few words of introduction before the screening. The event will take place Saturday, Sept 26 at 7:15. Limited seating, first come first serve from 6pm. Bring your own seating and grab food from the Farmers and Foragers food truck nearby.

There are only 12 more days to order your limited edition artist teeshirt designed and donated by Eleanor Lanahan. All proceeds go to support VTIFF. Please Order now. They make fabulous gifts too!

In 2017, Rickey Gates ran from South Carolina to San Francisco – a journey of 3700 miles over the course of five months. The run was about getting to know both himself and his country to a much better degree – especially during these times of divisive politics and polarized societies within our own borders.
