Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to attend a special public lecture at the University of Vermont by Dr. Dorceta Taylor, the James E. Crowfoot Professor of Environmental Justice at the University of Michigan. Dr. Taylor’s talk, “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Environmental Institutions: The Slow Pace of Progress,” will take place at 5pm on March 25 in UVM’s Ira Allen Chapel. Her presentation highlights how to improve diversity, inclusion and equity within environmental institutions.

Dr. Taylor is a leading national thinker and do-er in addressing multifaceted questions at the intersection of environmental and social justice. Learn more about Dorceta Taylor and this event.

Following the talk, we hope you will join us for an informal conversation with Dr. Taylor and other attendees from roughly 6:15-7pm, along with a book raffle and signing opportunities. This event presents a unique opportunity for critical and collective reflection on the state of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the region’s environmental institutions.
