The college recently achieved carbon neutrality through a variety of initiatives that include efficiency upgrades, building renovations, campus engagement initiatives, on-site renewable energy, local renewable energy purchases, and carbon offsets.

Inaugural ‘Positive Impact Rating’ Ranks Business Schools

The Positive Impact Rating for business schools uses surveys of students to assess and rate business schools on their contributions to solving societal challenges. Out of the 51 business schools participating in the rating, nine were featured as transforming schools, and another 21 were recognized as progressing schools.

Environmental Education Outcomes Online Course

Through short pre-recorded lectures, podcasts, readings, social media and live webinars, participants will apply research-based knowledge to start new or enhance existing environmental education programs. Topics include environmental behaviors, collective action, nature connectedness, sense of place, social capital, health and well-being, academic achievement, and resilience. Course participants diagram their own theory of change outlining how to reach their environmental education goals.

Call for Proposals for the Sustainability Student Leaders Symposium Host Institution

The Sustainability Student Leaders Symposium board of curators invites proposals from schools wishing to host the 2020 symposium. The annual symposium brings together peer-to-peer student sustainability educators/leaders from many different colleges and universities in the northeast to learn and be inspired by each other for a half-day conference. Proposals are due by Feb. 20.
