Join us in Philly for SZW19!
The 6th Annual Students for Zero Waste Conference (SZW19) will bring together 600 students, staff, industry innovators, activists, and community members from across the country in Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania on Friday, October 11 to Sunday October, 13, 2019! The three day event includes student-led workshops, professional trainings, hands-on activity sessions, affinity group meet-ups, and panels covering topics related to waste and environmental justice.
Travel Scholarships Available!
Need help getting to Philly this October? We are offering travel scholarships! This supplemental travel funding, offered through the Equitable Access Fund, is meant to bridge the gap between what you can get from your campus or community organization and what you need.
Submit a workshop session
We are seeking speakers with expertise in an area of zero waste and environmental justice to lead workshops and presentations this year! Submit a session by July 31st.
Submit an activity fair session
Host an hour-long hands-on activity session focused on repair and reuse! Previous sessions have included: T-shirt screen printing, reusable menstrual pads sewing, clothing mending, and medicinal tincture making.
