Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Shelburne Museum – September 16th

I am reaching out with regard to our biggest fundraising event of the year, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Shelburne. The Walk is on Sunday, September 16 with almost 2,000 participants. This event is a great way for us to connect with the community and those affected by Alzheimer’s disease while raising funds and awareness for the cause. There are over 13,000 Vermont residents living with Alzheimer’s, now the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.

We would love for Champlain College to consider being a part of this event by either forming a team for the Walk or even sponsoring a portion of the event. Any funds donated or raised for the Walk will go towards furthering our mission, which is to live in a world without Alzheimer’s. This would be a great opportunity for your business to support your employees and clients that are affected by this disease, as there are currently about 30,000 family and friend caregivers in Vermont.

The Walk is held at the Shelburne Museum, and after the walk in the morning, the teams get to spend the rest of the day on the Museum grounds at no charge.  It’s a great family fun day for your employees.  Please let me know if you have any additional questions or would like more information about the Alzheimer’s Association or our upcoming event in Shelburne. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Have a great day!
