SMOP – May 23, 2018, Volunteer Recruitment

It’s hard to believe it has been a year already – it is time for SMOP 2018!
The Spring Move Out Project (SMOP) is an incredible community event that helps us practice the 6 Rs – reduce, reuse, recycle, reimagine, reconnect and remove. SMOP provides students and area residents the opportunity to bring clothing, books, household items, furniture, and non-perishable food items to this community swap and recycling event.
We need 50 volunteers to make this event run smoothly – so we are hoping you can join us for this year’s SMOP! Volunteers can help us with tasks that range from directing traffic to hauling couches, and are welcome to join us for an hour or two or the whole day. Shifts will take place between 11am and 4pm, and you will be stationed on either Loomis or Buell Street.
Interested in joining us? Sign up at: https://smop18.eventbrite.com
We hope to see you there!
