Catamount Trail Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Archivist
The CTA is looking for someone with an interest in helping preserve CTA’s history. We have old newsletters, photos, slides, and other publications and memorabilia we’d like your help sorting, prioritizing, and preserving. Be in touch if you’d like to spend a few hours each week on the project this fall – info@catamounttrail.org.

Section 26 Trail Chief
We are also looking for someone to care for the southern half of Section 26, from Route 15 in Wolcott to Garfield Road in Hyde Park. This ~5 mile trail segment travels through a large sugaring operation just north of route 15, and then traverses a mix of backcountry trail, logging roads, and former snowmobile trails, primarily on private lands. Section 15 Trail Chief
We are  looking for a person or two to care for Section 15 of the Catamount Trail, from Route 73 (Brandon Gap) north through Blueberry Hill, and then on to the Widow’s Clearing parking lot, in Goshen. This ~9 mile trail segment travels through a large sugaring operation just north of route 73, and then traverses a mix of backcountry trail, logging roads, and cross country ski trails, primarily on public lands managed by the Green Mountain National Forest.  Contact Amy Kelsey for more info – akelsey@catamounttrail.org.
