Wanted at CSWD: Finance Director and Recycling Nerds!

looking for a Finance Director — and a few awesome recycling nerds who want to learn what it takes to be a Waste Warrior!

First, the Finance Director: CSWD is seeking a Finance Director to oversee the finance department of a countywide municipal organization with an annual budget of $10 million. CSWD is the largest of several solid waste districts established by the State of Vermont. The District is governed by a board of commissioners appointed by each town in Chittenden County. The Finance Director is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing and presenting the annual budget, managing computerized accounting systems and investment programs. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Dynamics Great Plains. Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance with seven years of experience including three years of supervisory experience required. Master’s Degree and governmental accounting experience preferred. Starting salary range $70,550- $86,486. Excellent benefit package. We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic, volunteer Waste Warriors to help bring our waste reduction mission to life at Chittenden County events.

Becoming a CSWD Waste Warrior is easy! Start by coming to a free training session where you’ll meet like-minded neighbors, have a snack, and learn how you can help improve recycling and composting efforts at special events.

WHEN: There are several trainings coming up: Tuesday, March 21; Tuesday, April 4; Wednesday, April 12; and Wednesday, April 19.
