COTS Walk 2017!

Hi blog readers, this is Gabriel Ingman, one of the new blog updaters for the Center for Service and Sustainability.

I am here to tell you about a opportunity, in the near future, to get connected with the community of Burlington for a good cause: the COTS Walk 2017, happening on May 7, 2017 from 1pm to 5pm!

The Walk raises funds to support services and increase understanding about homelessness.

The event is a three-mile walk around Burlington, starting at Battery Park, following a route that a homeless person would take in order to get help. You visit shelters along the way to see the direct, positive effect your fundraising has on the community.

You can get involved with this event by walking, volunteering, or becoming a fundraising team captain. Or if the walk doesn’t fit into your schedule, you can help the cause by taking the COTS Walk Challenge: raise 1,000 or more for COTS, and a Challenge Grant will match your donation.

Follow this link to register to walk!

Email Sian Leach at volunteer@cotsonline.org to ask to become a volunteer and help run the event.
