Branch Out Burlington! Tree Keeper Training Is Tuesday, April 7th!!

Re-posted from Branch Out Burlington!:

Spring is nearly here! Whoopee!!!

Soon we will all be planting trees, including the Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department along Burlington’s streets. Each spring, Branch Out Burlington! offers a Tree Keeper Training for anyone who cares about trees. The training session is led by the most experienced urban forester in Vermont–Warren Spinner, Burlington’s city arborist. The program will cover information on how a tree grows, where to plant a tree and how to plant it and care for it, and how to prune your trees safely. We hope this training session will help the public take care of trees where ever they are.  Everyone is welcome, even those living outside Burlington. All attendees will be entered in the drawing for a free tree!
