Working with the ever-so-popular Meathead Films Production, Ski the East is putting forth a multi-part web series, Working For The Weekend. This project is the brainchild of longtime ski bum (now attorney), Ben Leoni. Outdoor Gear Exchange will be premiering the first episode and bringing the mastermind, Ben Leoni, in to talk about his inspiration behind this web series. Working For The Weekend highlights the best backcountry skiing the east coast has to offer and is dedicated to all those weekend warriors on the 9-5 grind! This event is FREE!
Thursday, January 16th @7:30pm–United We Ski Premiere
United We Ski is a documentary from two Vermont natives celebrating the heritage of small, community-run ski areas in New England. Brothers Tyler and Elliot Wilkinson-Ray grew up in Richmond, VT and learned to ski at Cochran’s Ski Area, a smaller, family-run ski hill in the area. At one point, in the not-too-distant past, most towns in Vermont (and New England for that matter) had their own community ski hill operating on a small scale. This documentary will tell their story and highlight the still-surviving small town ski slopes. Tickets available online – $5 each.
