Infusing Sustainability Across the Curriculum Workshop at Ramapo College of New Jersey |
This two-day workshop, on Friday, March 9, and Monday, March 12, will allow attendees to explore how best to permeate sustainability, very broadly defined, across the higher education curriculum while disrupting disciplinary divides. The deadline to register is March 7. Ramapo College of New Jersey is one of 13 regional AASHE Centers for Sustainability Across the Curriculum.

Online Sustainability Across the Curriculum Workshop |
This online event is designed for higher education instructors to infuse ecological stability, social equity, and economic vitality into their curriculum regardless of the discipline. Attendees will explore effective assessment of critical thinking skills, collaboration, creativity, and the ability to analyze, discuss and create solutions to real-world sustainability problems. Sustainability Across the Curriculum: Integrating Undergraduate Research and Community Engagement |
This workshop will introduce best practices for integrating sustainability-focused undergraduate research across the curriculum, with an emphasis on community-based research. Participants will have the opportunity to design courses with a research component (from intro-level to capstone courses) as well as non-course-based research projects, such as summer research experiences and independent student-faculty projects. The registration deadline is April 15. Central College is one of 13 regional AASHE Centers for Sustainability Across the Curriculum.

March for Science Open Letter Supporting Funding for Gun Violence Research |
Institutions and individuals can sign onto the March for Science’s open letter to Congress, of which AASHE is a signatory, asking it to approve the research funding and support needed to make evidence-based policies to prevent gun violence.

Campus Recycling & Materials Management Practices Survey |
The College and University Recycling Coalition (CURC) is encouraging schools to participate in a survey to document waste reduction initiatives and strategies. The submitted information will be compiled into a report to be released in spring of 2018, and will be used to populate a database for CURC members and survey participants to compare themselves against similar institutions.

Voter Friendly Campus Designation Application |
The Voter Friendly Campus designation program is a tool to support higher education institutions fulfilling the requirements of the Higher Education Act of 1965, which necessitates that institutions distribute voter registration forms to their students. The Voter Friendly Campus designation process provides guidelines for institutions to follow in order to create a more voter-friendly campus. Voter Friendly Campus Designation Interest Forms will be accepted until 150 institutions are accepted or April 2.

SustainUS Spring 2018 World Bank Delegation Call for Applications |
SustainUS invites applications to be part of a delegation of 15-20 young people that will attend the World Bank annual meetings from Oct. 9-15, 2017, in Washington, D.C. In partnership with civil society organizations, the SustainUS delegation aims to influence the World Bank Group to change its policies on climate change and equitable distribution of development finance. Applications are due by March 9.
