We know it has been a tough year, and thinking about any one of our campaigns or priorities can be really depressing. And in these trying times, we have to work on more than ever — people are active on many campaigns, caring about a bunch of issues, and have so much work to do in their fights.
That’s why we’re pulling together the 2017 Vermont Crossroads Conference on Saturday November 11th at Champlain College in Burlington. This conference is FREE and is being co-hosted by: ACLU-VT, Main Street Alliance, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, Rights & Democracy, Justice for All, Let’s Grow Kids, Toxic Action Center, VNRC, VPIRG, and the Vermont-NEA.
The goals for the day are to network grassroots activists, statewide groups, experts and decision makers with one another; to inspire our bases to deepen their commitment to the work; to expose our base to issues beyond the issue that sparked their activism; to build affinity for our respective groups; to recruit new members; and to foster unprecedented collaboration and creativity in these uniquely difficult times. We’re hoping that we can leave this day with a collaborative statement of shared values and a menu of ways for Vermonters to take action on the issues they care about through to the 2018 legislative session.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 11th to be at Champlain College in Burlington for the 2017 Vermont Crossroads Conference. RSVP here today!
