The annual Vermont International Film Festival starts Oct 21. This year VTIFF is pleased to offer a student matinee screening of the Oscar-nominated documentary, Racing Extinction on Wednesday, October 26, at 11:30am at the Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center Film House in Burlington.
Racing Extinction is gripping eco-thriller documentary that examines biodiversity loss, its effect on humanity, and the solutions that inspire hope for a more
sustainable future. Racing Extinction is ideal for student groups and
classes interested in Environmental Studies, Biodiversity, Sustainability,
Activism, or Nonfiction Filmmaking.
The director of the film, Louie Psihoyos (who won the Academy Award for
Best Documentary for his 2009 film, The Cove), will participate in a
post-screening discussion via Skype.
