The JCC Ranch Camp in Elbert Colorado is looking for individuals passionate about ecology, environmental education, Jewish environmental ethics, and/or small-scale organic farming for the 2015 summer season.
Teva staff should have training and/or experience in working with animals, caring for plants, and good basic knowledge of plant identification. They should have the ability and desire to work with and instruct campers, grades 2-8.
Teva staff are responsible for planning and running all programs during scheduled cabin activity periods and are responsible for planning and running one chug (elective) per week. They are also responsible for setting up the Teva area (planting, starter plants and seeds, soil care, and activity planning) during staff orientation and maintaining this area as a safe environment for participants during the summer.
