Campus Screening of Point-of-View’s documentary “15 to Life: Kenneth’s Story

 

There will be a campus screening of Point-of-View’s documentary 15 to Life:  Kenneth’s Story, followed by a panel discussion. Vermont PBS is giving Champlain the opportunity to screen this documentary on campus.  Last spring, a similar screening was well attended, and the post-film panel discussion was both lively and pedagogically fruitful.  It would be such a pleasure to have you join us.

Champlain College Screening of Point-of-View’s documentary 15 to Life:  Kenneth’s Story (Overview: The United States is the only country in the world that routinely sentences a teenager to life without parole.  Does such sentencing serve our society well?  The film follows one young man’s struggle for redemption, revealing a justice system with thousands of young people serving sentences intended for society’s most dangerous criminals.)
