Despite all the bad news on the climate front, there’s still boundless energy here in Vermont and around the world to put the brakes on our society’s endless thirst for fossil fuels. You, I, we all feel that taking action in our own way is “the right thing to do,” even if more and more reports show that we are past the point of no return.

Middlebury folks! On Wednesday April 9th at 7pm, ACORN is hosting a panel on socially responsible investing.

Our state treasurer, Beth Pearce is on the panel, and she testified against the divestment bill a few weeks ago. This is unacceptable! Vermont needs to take bold actions for our future like divesting the state pension fund.
