SolarFest is looking for some supporters!
SolarFest is the Northeast’s longest running sustainable living and arts festival in which workshops, music and theater happen hand in hand to help promote a sustainability and renewable energy. The main stage is powered by solar electric, complete with a first class light show and production team – Dark Star Lighting and Production! Each year they have had an eclectic mix of performers, from Twiddle and New Groove Orchestra, to Break of Reality, Dar Williams, Caravan of Thieves, and the list goes on. SolarFest takes place on the weekend of July 18-20 at Forget-Me-Not Farm in Tinmouth, Vermont. This year, they are excited to announce that Sandor Katz will be a Keynote Speaker, and Break of Reality will be back for an encore performance on the Main Stage.
There are several ways to participate in the festival:
1. Come to the festival! (This is the easiest way to participate…) Right now, tickets are on a super early bird sale, so for a three-day festival, with camping included, it’s a great deal! If you’re interested, you can buy your tickets here.
2. Volunteer at the festival! SolarFest is always looking for volunteers to help it staff its three days of music and learning. Volunteers do everything from prep work before the event starts to staffing our ticket sales office. If you help, you get free entry into the event and some great food at our volunteer kitchen. Read more about volunteering here.
3. Spread the word! SolarFest is looking to grow, and to do so, they want more people like you to join the numbers. Take a look at our website and Facebook page, and if this sounds like something you’re interested in, let SolarFest know if you’d be willing to post a few posters around your campus and town. Put in enough hours, and they can give you a free ticket!
