“April 2 AASHE Webinar: Incorporating Sustainability into Campus Strategic Planning
A big thank you to our Leader-level member Waste Management, who is teaming with Spelman College to present a successful example of sustainability in strategic planning. Free to members and non-members, this one-hour webcast will explore the integration of sustainability in strategic planning and all campus operations with a focus on personal impact and environmental accountability. You will also hear how Waste Management is working with colleges and universities to integrate sustainability into campus strategic plans and the implementation of such plans, from sustainability consulting to in-house project management, benchmarking, and reporting to ensure success. New Summer Workshop: Developing Campus Living Labs
With a focus on building academic-operations partnerships for sustainability, this May workshop is intended to support teams from colleges and universities in their application of living laboratory strategies at various scales. Hosted by Pennsylvania State University, this AASHE workshop will explore useful frameworks and related case studies, and offer opportunities to develop initial concepts and applications. The fourth and final installment of our Sustainable Consumption: Sustainable Campus (SC2) series with the Ray C. Anderson Foundation will address the impact that campus purchasing decisions have on overall campus sustainability and how these choices influence the relationship that purchasing vendors have with their college and university clients.
