The Summer PLANternship Program is back!

We are seeking three full-time, remote interns to work with us this Summer! Interns with PLAN can expect to work closely with other young, passionate, creative individuals in a collaborative and digital environment.

While this year’s internship program is fully digital, the PLANtern work-from-home routine will be regularly broken up by activities such as virtual “field trips,” discussion groups, and space for bonding as a team.

2021 Intern Positions

Movement Tools Organizer

This intern will research and organize content for PLAN’s databases. They will collate information about zero waste program case studies, leadership skills, and other movement-building tools.

Campus Contract Investigator

This intern will explore campus contracts with private vendors, including waste hauling, beverage, and food service contracts. They will analyze common vendors and develop educational resources for students.

Students of Zero Waste Storyteller

This intern will coordinate a social media campaign highlighting student leaders in the Zero Waste Movement. They will promote the program to campuses, compile nominations, and create social media content.

Logistics

• Hours Per Week: Full-Time, 35 hours/week (includes flexible time off)
• Compensation: $5,250 stipend for a total of 10 weeks in bi-weekly paychecks (approximately $15 an hour)
• Start & End Date: Monday Jun 7th, 2021- Friday Aug 13th, 2021 (10 weeks)
• Location: Remote. We are able to provide a limited work- from-home stipend for any tech or home office needs.
