Read (or Listen) to His Story
Congrats to Kileigh Hannah whose sticker design won our first annual Sticker Design Contest. To celebrate, Ross Doree wrote a wonderful story about Frederick Castor Olmsted. You can read the story or listen to Ross regale you with Olmsted’s harrowing adventure to save his home.
Summer Teacher Training | July 13-17, 2020
During this 5-day field course you’ll learn to tease out the rich stories written in the fabric of Vermont’s unique landscape. It’s a story written in stone walls, old apple trees, sprawling oak trees, and valleys carved into sandy banks. Using a mix of field trips, hands-on science activities, and lectures, you’ll learn the tools and develop the capacity to weave together the stories in your own backyard (and schoolyard) and the confidence to share these skills with your students.
This program is open to educators (k-12) as well as the public, and we will offer an option for graduate credit. Click below to learn more about the program and register.

Crow’s Path Vermont City Marathon Relay Team
This will be our second year with a 5-person Vermont City Marathon relay team!! We’re looking for 5 kiddos ages 11-18 for our team. This year, we’re linking up with RunVermont’s Junior Milers Running Program, so as part of the team you’ll get 12 weeks of coaching as you prepare for the big day on May 24. The program meets for practice in Burlington every Wednesday from 5-6:30 starting March 4th (check out their web page for the full schedule). This is a participation program, so if you can’t make it to practices or if you prefer to train on their own, the program’s not a good fit. As a member of our relay team, each kid will receive:
- a Crow’s Path racing singlet,
- a pair of running shoes,
- 2 running shirts,
- 12 weeks of coaching, and
- an entry to the relay of the Vermont City Marathon.
