USCRI Vermont is hiring a Community Partnership Coordinator – The full time position will be responsible for implementing and managing family friends, volunteer, and community partnership programs in northern and central Vermont. These programs are designed to: 

– Expand and strengthen engagement of local community groups, faith-based organizations, and businesses in the welcoming and integration of refugees;

– Empower sponsored families and individuals to more successfully integrate into their new communities and become more fully independent;

– Build awareness of and support for forcibly displaced populations settling in Vermont, increasing positive and welcoming attitudes towards refugees, asylum-seekers, and other forcibly displaced populations. 

Job duties and responsibilities include: 

– Recruit, train, and support volunteers, family friends, and community sponsors; facilitate appropriate matches with newly arrived refugee families and individuals; support the match for the duration of the agreed timeframe;

– Reach out to and educate community groups, faith-based organizations, and businesses about the community partnership program and its benefits through presentations, social media, and direct outreach;

– Plan and track volunteer and in-kind support on each new arrival case and ensure adherence to budgetary and contract compliance requirements;

– Report regularly to Director on community engagement issues and concerns;

– Coordinate the delivery of support services through volunteer efforts regularly to ensure compliance with all program standards and grant requirements;

– Advocate for and promote awareness of refugee populations to promote community integration;

– Coordinate and facilitate outreach events;

– Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and participant feedback to improve outcomes;

– Ensure provision of appropriate interpretation.
