Spring Break 2022 Transportation Update

AMTRAK SHUTTLE

If you are one of the students planning to take Amtrak home for spring break we ARE still offering a FREE shuttle bus service to and from the Amtrak station (on specific days only). No sign up required.

  • TO AMTRAK (Saturday AM)
    • The 194SPS pickup will be on Browns Court on the bricks near King Street. Please be there at 8:30AM. It will depart at 8:40AM SHARP.
    • For Main Campus riders, please be at CCM Promenade (where the normal shuttles pickup and drop off) at 8:45AM. The shuttle will depart Champlain promptly at 9:00am (the train departs at 9:44am).
    • Please be on time so that you do not delay others. The driver will not wait. The shuttle will drop you off right at the station.
  • FROM AMTRAK (Sunday PM) – The pickup stop will be on the north side of Center Street adjacent to the station. Look out for the Champlain College or Mountain Transit Bus. It will be there before the train arrives and wait until you all arrive. They will drop you off on the CCM promenade first and then Browns Court at 194SPS after that.

PARKING OVER BREAK

If staying over break, or getting home by another means, please keep your car at Lakeside (displaying your valid Zone 2 permit). It will be OK there for the break. Please do not park around main campus as employees are still working that whole week. We will be enforcing our parking regulations like NORMAL. After 4pm and weekends is fine to park around Main Campus like usual if you are sticking around.

AIRPORT BUS

For those flying out of Burlington International Airport, the easiest way to get to and from there is to use the FREE GMT City Bus. Champlain does not offer a shuttle since the bus is going there every 30 minutes anyway.

  • Use Google Maps to plan it out. Select the bus icon at the top, choose the day and time and it will show you where to walk to the stop and which line to catch.
  • #11 Airport – Use the stop at the corner of College Street and South Willard Street and take bus #11 Airport directly to the terminal.
  • #1 Williston – Alternatively, If you don’t mind a short walk, you can take bus #1 – Williston all the way to the corner of Aiport Drive and Kennedy Drive and then walk 0.5 miles (9 minutes) to the airport along Airport Drive. See details and map.
