Rutgers U to Establish Office of Climate Action Toward the end of September, the university’s president announced a new Climate Action Plan and the formation of a new Office of Climate Action, which will lead the university’s efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. The office will be housed in the Office of University Strategy, and will work to achieve key milestones, including ensuring that Rutgers removes more greenhouse gases than it emits by its 275th anniversary in 2041. Wege Prize 2022 Wege Prize is an annual competition challenging students to collaborate across institutional, disciplinary and cultural boundaries to redesign the way economies work. Participants contend for over $65,000 in total cash prizes. The Wege Prize is organized by Kendall College of Art and Design’s Wege Center for Sustainable Design with support from the Wege Foundation. The deadline to submit a team application is Nov. 1. |

Campus Sustainability Hub Resources The Campus Sustainability Hub is a one-stop shop for AASHE members to access toolkits and resource collections about all aspects of sustainability in higher education. With advanced search filtering, this key member benefit is designed to facilitate information sharing between campuses and organizations.
