Fall is finally upon us, school is back in session and we have some engaging Back to School event ideas and opportunities to share with our college, university and school advocates.
We also have a report-back on our recent trip to visit Fair Trade producers and advocates in Ecuador to share with you as well as a unique upcoming opportunity to connect with and learn from Fair Trade advocates from around the world. Please read on for more details.

International Fair Trade Webinar

On September 29, we’re bringing together Fair Trade Town organizers from four different countries for an International Fair Trade Webinar. Join us to connect with and learn from organizers from Lebanon, Peru, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Together with these presenters, we intend to:
  • Explore best practices and strategies for Fair Trade campaigns
  • Learn from different contexts, challenges, and successes of other campaigns
  • Work towards concrete proposals for future collaborations between Fair Trade campaigns here in the US and abroad

On the Blog: Trip Report – Fair Trade Impact in Ecuador
It’s been over a month already since we were in Ecuador visiting Fair Trade farms and cooperatives but the experience had such a tremendous impact on me that it feels as though we were there just yesterday. Over the course of a week, we had the opportunity to meet with producers of three different Fair Trade products – cacao, flowers and guayusa. Each producer group had their own inspiring and interesting Fair Trade story to tell and no one visit was the same. Read more
