You will work in communities across Vermont, supporting local groups as they develop their capacity to advocate for safer streets for everyone. Use the cutting-edge tools of the NationBuilder community organizing platform to build local affiliates, train advocates, and support street campaigns. Full-time, year-round position. Compensation is $38-40K, with paid time off, medical, and retirement.2.A part-time, permanent Business Services Manager, who will help businesses and organizations across Vermont attract and retain talent and customers by becoming more bike friendly.DESCRIPTION Are you a natural-born salesperson? Local Motion, Vermont’s walk-bike advocacy nonprofit, is seeking a Business Services Manager to help businesses and organizations attract and retain talent and customers by becoming more walk and bike friendly. You will build our network of business members, assist them with Bicycle Friendly Business recognition, organize on-site bike workshops, and sell bike racks to businesses and other clients statewide. Half-time job to start, with significant growth potential. Compensation is $17-18/hour with paid time off.3.A part-time, seasonal Bike Ferry Operations Manager, who will work closely with our captains, crew, and 13,000+ yearly passengers to run our world-renowned Island Line Bike Ferry.
DESCRIPTION: Do you enjoy managing diverse teams and handling complex logistics? Do you love to walk or bike? Join the Local Motion team and spend April to October managing the Island Line Bike Ferry! This unique service brings people and their bikes across “the Cut,” a 200-foot gap in the beautiful Island Line Rail Trail across Lake Champlain. You will train, schedule, and supervise staff; develop and oversee operational procedures; coordinate with other Local Motion programs; and run special Ferry-related events. Position is 20-30 hours per week. Hours vary through the season.
