January LCI volunteer call

Hello LCI Volunteers, and Happy New Year!  We are ready to charge into this year’s work for water quality, and would love to have you on the team! There are lots of opportunities to support clean water, find what works for you, and join the team!

  1. Office support

1.a  Data entry and information cross checking.  Are you a bit of a sleuth? Can you help us track down information? Come help us magnify our outreach impact!

1.b The Healthy Waters, Healthy Children program needs outreach efforts!  Help us connect with teachers so we can offer our water quality presentations to students around Vermont.

  1. Outreach support

2.a  The BLUE program is trying to get the word out about our fantastic grant opportunity for Burlington homeowners.  Come join the team, and help spread the word!  The more houses we reach, the more pollution we prevent!

  1. Event Support

3.a We need to start preparations for this year’s Chowder Championship. Anyone excited to use a little competitive edge to drive lake health awareness?  I need a volunteer who is interested to provide support through to the event, roughly 2 hr commitment per week for 2 months, 4 hrs during the event.

3.b We are co-planning Clean Water Day at the Statehouse.  Help us book speakers and connect people with their representatives.

3.c Are you personable and interested to spread the message of taking action for clean water?  Come table with us at the Yankee Sportsman’s Classic!

  1. Program Support

4.a  Jan 20th / Jan 21st Bobber Bob is needed at the Yankee Sportsman’s Classic!  We need someone with a pickup truck who can chauffer Bob to the event and back again.  Love making children laugh? Be part of the Tackle Team, and help Bob cruise around the Expo.

4.b  Our Nature with James Ehlers features stories from Vermont’s woods and waters, connecting people with initiatives across the state to help us navigate living with the land in the 21stcentury.  If you are interested to support this program, let me know and we can connect abut details.
