to Attend CURC Zero Waste Workshop
Do you have a student leader interested in a recycling or sustainability career?

The College and University Recycling Coalition (CURC) is pleased to offer up to four (4) scholarships to current college students and recent graduates to help them attend the CURC Zero Waste Workshop at the University of Minnesota on Sunday October 25, 2015.

The scholarship will provide a travel stipend of up to $250 for students who have been actively involved with campus recycling or zero waste initiatives. The goal of the scholarship is to provide a learning and networking opportunity for top student interns and leaders planning to pursue a career in the recycling and sustainability field.

The scholarship includes:

  • Complementary registration for CURC workshop
  • $250 stipend for direct travel, meal and accommodation costs (reimbursed afterward)

Expectations:

  • Complete online application by EOD August 28
  • Letter of endorsement provided by campus supervisor or mentor
  • Attend the full workshop and University of Minnesota campus tour
  • Submit an essay detailing what they learned from experience
  • Stipend can be used in conjunction with attendance of the AASHE conference
