We will meet in front of the Vermont State House at 10am and make a parade loop around, through downtown Montpelier, and end up back at the State House for a short but inspiring rally, ending at noon.
A family friendly event – kids and dogs are welcome!
THINGS TO BRING:
– Donations of nonperishable, non-gmo foods, for our fellow Vermonters, in need of healthy food for their families!
– Homemade signs and banners, masks and costumes.(Host a casual art event to make these with your friends and neighbors… so fun!)
– Your cameras, take lots of pictures, and post the heck out of them on flickr, facebook, and other social media.
– The press! Tell your local and statewide news services that you are coming in advance.
– Your friends and neighbors!
– Your State Representatives and Senators. Invite them all!
(Remind them that in May 2013 bill H.112 to require labels on GMO’s in VT passed the House with overwhelming support and will head to the Senate in January once the session begins. Tel them you expect them to see the bill through to the Governors desk. To learn more about that process contact VT Right To Know GMOs)
