Environmental Advocacy Jobs for this Summer in Vermont

Summer Jobs for Change in Burlington!

Ever wish you could get paid to travel Vermont, bike around some of the most scenic parts of the state, and camp with friends, all while making an impact on the future of important environmental issues? If you answered yes, VPIRG has the job for you.

The Vermont Public Interest Research Group (VPIRG) is currently looking for students to work as canvassers from May to August as a part of our summer outreach campaign in our Burlington office. Employees will work from our Burlington office Monday through Thursday. You’ll be walking or biking door to door, talking to Vermonters about important political issues, fundraising, and building our membership base – and every week, there are opportunities to camp and work out of one of Vermont’s scenic state parks!

VPIRG has been a watchdog for Vermonters for over 40 years, calling out and fighting huge biotech companies, Super PACs, fossil fuel interests, and climate change deniers. With members in every single town in the state, we’re Vermont’s largest grassroots nonprofit dedicated to protecting the public interest.

In light of the situation at the national level, Vermont leadership on issues like climate change has become even more important. If you want to be a force for positive change during Donald Trump’s presidency, this is the job for you.
