Climate change and sustainability are critical concerns for the future of human civilizations. Incorporating these concepts and approaches into higher education curricula can be as simple as adding a field trip, module or case study to your course syllabus. This workshop will provide peer-to-peer support for faculty who wish to add sustainability or climate change education to an existing course. We will brainstorm pedagogical approaches, share suggestions and resources. Faculty from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Participants are required to bring a syllabus to update.Description: Attend this innovative workshop where indigenous faculty members and Knowledge Holders will gather with faculty who are focused on sustainability education. Envision your campus and community as a sustainability pedagogical opportunity, a chance to infuse sustainability across your curriculum and provide applied, real world sustainability experiences for students. Join us for an interactive idea-generating workshop for sharing and establishing best practices to utilize the campus and surrounding community as Sustainability Living Learning Labs. The workshop is intended for faculty and sustainability staff who are currently using Sustainability Living Learning Labs on their campus or in their surrounding community. This three-day workshop will focus on building a shared framework for developing, institutionalizing, expanding and maintaining Sustainability Living Learning Lab programs both on campus and in the surrounding community. Participants will be asked to share their experiences, vision, approach and curricular integration strategies for creating and expanding Sustainability Living Learning Labs at their respective universities.
Several of the center events scheduled for May are still open for registration so be sure to check them out as well. Stay tuned for other center-organized workshops to be scheduled for fall 2017.

Hope you can join us at one of these events.
Sincerely,
