Still looking for the perfect summer job? Come work for Vermont State Parks!

Come work for Vermont State Parks!

We are looking to fill a Park Interpreter position at beautiful Brighton State Park in Island Pond. Park interpreters tell the stories about the natural and cultural histories of the parks through fun, hands on, inspirational programs for park visitors. Brighton is a special spot—nestled in the Northeast Kingdom, it boasts two sandy-bottomed lakes, and a natural red pine stand. The champion big red pine tree is there! Spend your summer paddling, star gazing, and hiking along the lake with eager park visitors.

The dates of employment are June 5 through Labor Day (although we can be flexible). The starting pay is $11.62 per hour, and this position comes with free housing right on the sandy shore of Island Pond. Our Park Interpreters are trained using the Certified Interpretive Guide curriculum from the National Association for Interpretation—you could earn this credential while working for us!
