September – October 2015: Events at the Birds of Vermont Museum

Museum features over 490 carved birds representing 258 species.

Happy back-to-school season! The Birds of Vermont Museum offers bird walks, carving classes, felting workshops, and more this fall. Can you include what you can on your print and online calendars? We’re especially hoping to get the word out for the Invasive workshop, Open Studio weekend, and Celebrate Fall weekend. Thank you!

All events are at the Birds of Vermont Museum unless otherwise noted. Please email us if you’d like to know which libraries are hosting which traveling exhibits this fall, too.

Workshop Part 1:
* Learn and practice invasive plant ID
* Receive materials about management and outreach

Workshop Part II (we’ll host this next spring):
* Learn to map invasives as part of a widely used, robust citizen science project
* Each of our observation contributions help build a scientifically smart state plan and more!

All welcome! We will be both indoors and out. Pre-registration helps us provide enough materials for each workshop. Call (802) 434-2167 or email museum@birdsofvermont.org
