Integrating Bike-Ped Topics into University Transportation Courses Workshop at Portland State U – June 18-19

As the bicycle-pedestrian profession evolves, so do university transportation programs. Many professionals learn bicycle planning and design on the job, and a crucial piece to helping advance the profession resides in integrating core bike-ped topics into university transportation courses. Portland State University is offering a unique opportunity to train-the-professors to increase the number of students who are exposed to bike-ped principles in the classroom. This 2-day highly interactive course is scheduled for June 18-19 in Portland, OR. Participants will participate in hands-on classroom activities, and participate in field tours on bike and foot. Attached is the agenda for the workshop. A limited number of $500 travel scholarships are available to interested faculty.
