Seeking helpers for annual Champlain Res Hall Move Out Collection – April 29-May 12

Friends of Sustain Champlain (students, faculty, and staff!), POSTER-Champlain-MoveOut_2015

Each year as students move out, there is the opportunity to collect useful items for donation in the community as well as ensuring proper recycling protocol.  Move out is a crazy time as many people are just ready to ditch it and run. Help us make this a more thoughtful, mindful process that ensure useful things don’t wind up in a big hole in the ground (the landfill).  We need helpers to sort items that are placed in the collection bins in each hall, assist folks on Move Out day at the dumpster locations across campus, and assist in collecting and moving items to our donation sites.

What’s in it for you:  you can stay in your room longer (if you live on campus), meals in the Caf, and first dibs on cool stuff left behind.  Also, the peace of mind that you are making a big difference in the amount of stuff that stays out of the landfill and gets into the hands of those who can use it.

**If you are student hourly employee, your employer may consider this work time for you. Please discuss that option directly with your supervisor.**
