Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. lived an extraordinary life as a student, activist, minister, and Civil Rights icon. This presentation introduces the audiences to the often omitted history of Dr. King as a young man eager to change an unjust society and the people and events that influenced his rise to leadership.

The Champlain Community will also be exposed to an in-depth understanding of Dr. King as a scholar and strategist.  Finally, we will examine his legacy as a global influence on direct action against injustice in contemporary popular culture and international movements. We will leave this presentation informed, enlightened, and empowered.
