The Program Manager’s primary responsibilities are to support the planning and execution of ELP’s Regional Fellowship Programs. This position reports to the National Program Director and assists in the execution of our Regional Fellowship Programs, including leading outreach and recruitment efforts, managing a volunteer-based selection committee, providing program development and logistics support. This job may also include facilitation opportunities at multi-day retreats and events around the country.

You’ll be expected to bring new ideas, strategies, revise your work on short timelines and bring an attitude of continuous improvement and a culture of innovation.  You’ll be expected to manage your own balanced workweek based on the demands of the job. While this job will take place in a virtual office it does require the ability to travel to multi-day trainings throughout the year.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Outreach and Recruitment
The Program Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the recruitment strategy of ELP’s Regional Fellowship Programs including direct outreach via phone, e-communications and in-person events. This individual will manage a volunteer selection committee composed of approximately 50 ELP Senior Fellows (alumni).

Retreat Logistics and Facilitation
The Program Manager will be responsible for managing the logistical details of retreats which could include negotiating contracts with venues and travel arrangements for contracted facilitators. Additionally, the Program Manager may have the opportunity to co-lead training sessions, which is dependent on expertise and interests.

Program Development and Evaluation
The Program Manager will work with the National Program Director and Executive Director to support the ongoing development of ELP’s training curriculum and the evaluation of our programs.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidates will have experience in a majority of the following:

  • Experience with outreach, recruitment, and management of volunteers.
  • Networking and establishing relationships in person, by phone, and by email.
  • Working cooperatively with wide a range of personalities, including staff, Fellows and volunteers.
  • Ability and discipline to work remotely is required.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in cloud-based collaborative software: Microsoft Office products, Google Docs, Dropbox, Email Marketing, etc.
  • Ability to see events through all phases of implementation while maintaining timelines, budgets and effectively managing expenses.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and editing grant proposals preferred.
  • Managing relationships in Salesforce CRM preferred.
  • Experience using online convening tools to build online communities, facilitate webinars/trainings preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant events and /or training development and coordination experience preferred.
